One of the biggest benefits of working in CGI/3D is the ability to get a huge ‘Return On Your Investment’ and that’s why we are often found championing the use of this particular medium for creative content. However, from experience, we have found that many of our clients who are new to working in this medium were not aware of the benefits it offers and how they could further leverage the CGI/3D models that they have commissioned. This led them to having the impression that CGI imaging and animation were out of reach on their projects because of the expense and the time they took to create, where in fact, it could be quite the opposite.
Over the last decade the use of CGI/3D in digital content creation has been instrumental in reshaping the visual landscape that we are surrounded by. Whether it’s the images we see in magazines or the programs we watch on TV, the ability to create photoreal creations that would normally be impossible to make in real life, or too costly, is now completely achievable for all client’s projects rather than just ‘a nice to have’ thing for clients with big budgets. This has never been more relevant to brands and agencies who are tasked with having to produce new innovative marketing materials that need to work a LOT harder, be more engaging and omnipresent over more media channels. With digital campaigns often requiring 10 x more volume of content to appeal to an ever expanding and varied audiences whilst being at the mercy of third-party platforms viewer algorithms.

Even if it’s as simple as the example in the above banner image, where you can simply modify an existing CGI/3D scene to create two images, one to launch at Christmas and then a second to focus on an additional seasonal holiday such as ‘New Year’s Eve’ giving you twice the opportunity to reach your audience through one single image.
Another example is extending the use of your CGI/3D scene by animating part of the actual concept idea to give you a simple story, this can give you a perfect 10” Instagram video (it’s the same model just some tweaks in the CGI/3D model to leverage an animation). Then, why not take the CGI/3D model and drop it into Facebook’s / Instagram’s SPARK AR, which is launched through their APP, and makes an entertaining interactive product that you can share with your loyal followers, generating a high level of engagement with your brand or product.
